Lacquered wood: semi-gloss red background and gold dust takamakie decoration on the inside of the red base.This very elegant "jubako" food box features four overlapping compartments, useful for keeping food items separate.On the lid and sides, the red lacquer base highlights the refined, slightly raised floral gold lacquer decoration. At the corners, you can see the typical cart bearing a basket containing peony shoots.
