Franca Schreiber, after having worked for over 15 years with her husband focused almost exclusively on Chinese antiques, now leads Schreiber Collections in Turin and has expanded her research in all parts of Asia. The gallery is located on the second floor of an ancient palace in Via della Rocca 29 Turin, is part of the APA (Associazione Piemontese Antiquari), associated with FIMA (Italian Federation of Art Dealers), attended the biennial exhibition of Turin, Mint and every year organizes themed exhibitions at her facility. Schreiber Collections from 2013 has been selected to participate at Flashback exhibition of ancient and modern art which takes place in Turin every Autumn. With over twenty years of experience in Oriental art auctions, she collects and researches: Chinese porcelain, Tibetan bronzes, Chinese paintings, Japanese screens, sculptures, furniture and anything else concerning antiquities of the Far East. Our goal is to introduce people to the beauty and versatility of oriental art. Showing the charm of a Japanese screen with gold background and the representations that highlight the nature full of symbolic elements, the grace of Chinese porcelain with floral designs and glazes of the rose family, the elegance of Japanese and Chinese lacquer, harmony and the serenity that infuse Buddhist sculptures example of great importance in Chinese art. Our passion are the Chinese and Tibetan bronzes, the Gandhara art sculpture that combines naturalism of classic greek and roman style with Asian serenity of Buddhist and Indian sculpture with their dynamism instill a strong sense of grace and more natural sensuality in worldly and divine figures that underline the strong link between the sculptural art and dance. A large part of our activity is in collaboration with leading interior designers and architects, collectors and Italian and foreign dealers.
